I suspect many of you already know that this year the NHS turns 70. Some of what is in the media this week does not paint the NHS in a very good light with areas identified where we need to improve around supporting staff to report any areas of concern with services delivered.
However, over the last 70 years there have been many advances, developments and improvements that we can and should be proud to shout about to celebrate the NHS journey over the past 70 years.
The NHS I think is important to us all. It would be good for it to still be around for at least another 70 years but to help it we all need to be doing more to look after ourselves and only use services when we need to.
Come along to the CCG event that we are putting on about looking after yourself on 5th July 2-5pm in the Market Place at North Ormesby. Find out more information here: http://www.southteesccg.nhs.uk/come-along-to-our-community-fun-day/
