It’s Patient Participation Awareness Week – why not take part?

Patient Participation Group Awareness week is 4-9th June 2018 and the CCG want to shout about this . We are very keen to do what we can to raise the profile of patient participation  groups recognising the really valuable role they have with helping surgeries to gain feedback on the services they provide as well as helping the practices to keep their patients informed with newsletters, service improvement suggestions, help with health promotion  and flu campaigns amongst many other things!

Feedback around patient experience of using services can be invaluable from a GP perspective but what is really important that what we hear makes things change and  improve for  the better.

You may already be a member of your own PPG- if not and you want to find out more please ask at your practice. If  you are a PPG member and would be keen to get involved in the PPG collective group that we hold across South Tees then please get in touch with us at the CCG. The next  meeting is 20th July 2018, 2pm at Redcar Primary Care Hospital and it would be good to welcome more members.

We are promoting this at our Governing Body meeting this week on Wednesday 6th June 3-5pm and members of the public are very welcome to come along.  If you’d like to attend a meeting please make sure to register your attendance with Lynne Pearson, Corporate Secretary on 01642 263037 or email

You can all find governing body papers in our Documents section under Governing Body Papers.
